Its always amazing to me how life permits everyone many paths to take! Some people have similar journeys and yet different experiences with each one. Have you ever sat and really began to ponder on some of your own experiences and wonder how you made it through?

In life, there are many broken pieces along the way, many doors that have seemingly remained shut; and many folk who have appeared to have the best intentions and haven't. Nevertheless you; like I, have managed to keep standing in the midst of it all. An abundance of us have adapted to many of the storms of life and we have come out proudly proclaiming, " I am Still Here." Now this is not just a cliche' or a casual mantra, but....rather a declaration that what should have taken us out and defeated us. has only revealed the resiliency in us!

When we NOT only face struggles, heartaches, and setbacks but also plow through them and overcome them......we have an opportunity to see what God has placed inside of us! This is exactly why it is detrimentally important to realize that there are different paths and journeys for all of us. Each experience is what produces that Amazing Victory shout that simply says once again, " I Am Still Here!" Please understand that anytime that we as individuals, recognize and admit that we have struggles, we empower ourselves to move forward. Seems totally crazy, right?! It's not. Life is sure to present to us, many knock out-knockdown challenges at some time or another. Even in the midst of all that we go through, we do not have to let it rob of us of all our strength and joy. While living life, we should all have the opportunity to see that even in our lowest places and darkest nights there is still a reason to smile!

Embrace that there is purpose in your life and its only discovered through the very tests and trials we encounter and overcome. Although your story and adventures may be totally opposite and different from mine....we all have come through some things that we look back on now and say "I Am Still Here"

No Love Lost

A whisper, a memory, a picture in a frame, the scent of you quickly envelopes me, and then everything quickly fades away. The very soft tone of your voice, the bright smile on your face; these are just some of the things that I will no longer have anymore. Gone are the days when I could call your name and you would answer and swiftly come to my aid....oh I miss you and wish you were still here;yet God chose to take you away. Some may wonder if I'm bitter or just drowning in my pain, others may assume that I am healed and simply drifting back to yesterday, but there really are no words left to say! How can we describe the pillar of a woman that you were? Ever so carefully your love and prayers held this family together and now all we have is this empty space. Some people tell us that the tears will somewhere in time fade away; yet in my eyes they seem to remain. Although six years has passed since you've been gone we can now smile and say.....there has been no love lost!!Now we dry our eyes and carry on the legacy of your name and all that we've learned along the way. Granny we love you and someday we shall meet again face-to-face.

What Love Feels Like

Some people equate love with a feeling of constant butterflies in their stomach, the temporary smile on their faces, or the warm sensation that seems to engulf their entire body and never seems to fade away! Now, as wonderful as these things may be,they are not an accurate description of what love really feels like!!!!! Have you ever been loved with the love that rocks you to the core of your being? the love that gets in your bones and metastasizes to every organ in your body....this love stands in the midst of every trial and storm and it doesnt waver due to the calamity that tries to rise against it!!!!! This is the kind of love that you cant keep to yourself no matter how hard you try and as good as it feels, this love is sometimes hard to come by! Please carefully pay attention to what I am saying.....and ask yourself this one question,"have I really come into contact with this love yet?" we all want to experience what love feels like before we close our eyes and transition to death! Be ready to open your heart and receive it because as the wind blows, it will surely find its way to the heart thats open to it! Love is not meant to be based off of feelings alone, for you see, our feelings are fickle and can change at the drop of a dime! I encourage you to examine your perception of it and then let it flow!!
